The 8-Track Shack is a recording studio run by Matt Walker and Dave Manton in the hills east of Melbourne. This tranquil location provides an ideal environment for producing creative music.
The 8-Track Shack originally served as Matt’s personal recording studio for overdubs, soundtracks, demos and generally just noodling around. It has now grown into a newly renovated studio space. With wood panelled walls and a peaceful ‘down home’ style, it is designed to offer artists a friendly environment to capture their music in the best possible way.
The 8-Track Shack is run by musicians, for musicians. We consider our role is to find what the artist is saying with their music and to bring focus and articulation to that.
The 8 Track-Shack offers an affordable opportunity to record onto tape! Yes, we record onto beautiful one inch tape, then onto a Pro Tools HD system
